A very special gift for both lighthouse and kaleidoscope collectors! This original Lighthouse Kaleidoscope, made from Bass wood, is inspired by the Charleston, SC lighthouse,
and is sure to please both lovers of the sea, and those who appreciate the detailed workmanship necessary to create a handcrafted kaleidoscope.
The scopes are made by laminating several pieces of this strong, straight-grained wood together to get the desired thickkness, then
turning the various components and creating the desired color scheme.
Offered in green & white, red & white, or black & white. Colors are applied with a special process to give a textured stucco or
stone look, and paint is protected with six layers of a clear lacquer gloss.
Since each kaledioscope is individually made, the height will vary slightly, but all are between 11 and 12 inches tall with the base being slightly under 3 inches in diameter.
You view the kaleidscope from the base after removing the decorative finial from the lighthouse top.
Please allow 1-2 weeks for shipment during peak seasons (like Christmas, for instance).
